Finding the right light
The inspiration
It began with the way light catches a dress.
Black sequins hold light unlike any other fabric. In shadow they sit quietly, almost like a textured black, and then the moment the light finds them, they come alive. We wanted a dress that could feel understated across a dinner table and still catch every glance when the room lights up.
From there, everything followed: a silhouette simple enough to let the fabric lead, and a finish considered enough to wear again and again.
The design
A timeless silhouette. A little after-dark intention.
The cut asks more of the fabric. Our signature waist cinch has to hold its line through a heavy, textured surface, and every seam is planned so the sequins meet cleanly rather than break across the body. It closes with a discreet back zip, so nothing interrupts the front of the dress.
The sampling
Considering the fit, the fall and every flicker of light.
We fitted it, refined it and filmed it under different lighting until it caught the light the way we wanted, from a candlelit dinner to the flash of a camera.
The construction
Up close, another layer of detail.
A sequin dress is only as good as the fabric beneath it. The Sequin Midi is built on a sequinned surface mounted onto a softer viscose and linen base, so it moves and sits against the body the way an evening dress should. That layered construction takes more fabric, more time on the machine and more care in the finishing than a single-layer piece.
The reveal
The Sequin Midi. An occasion in itself.
It's a dress made for many occasions, not just one: the kind you'll keep reaching for long after the first evening you wore it.
