How would you describe your journey to this point?

The concept of the globally coveted brand came to Pia in the summer of 2022 while browsing flea markets in the heart of Los Angeles discovering what she describes as ‘the coolest selection of vintage pendant necklaces’. From humble beginnings, Pia began sourcing pendants from flea markets and vintage stores across LA and hand tying them to suede cord, forming her first vintage pendant collection drop. Leading to drop, two, three and four leading to getting her hands on deadstock vintage pendants to curate the iconic ‘Black Mini’ necklace. A notable defining moment for Heaven Mayhem putting them on the map, where Pia hand tied the first few thousand orders. Now Heaven Mayhem provides a curated collection of statement earrings, belts and even more exciting drops to be expected soon (shh muses).

“Similarly to Aimee, I really figured out business on my own so my journey has been very busy but very rewarding! I’m learning more every day.”

What is your favourite TikTok and Instagram account to follow?

Pia’s forever icon and muse is Hailey Beiber who is spotted often in a pair of Heaven Mayhem earrings. A style icon she also draws inspiration from is Josefine Hj and Getty Images Fan Club for a selection of archival images to inspire.

Why is developing timeless pieces so important to you at Heaven Mayhem?

Heavily inspired by her mum and late grandmother's jewellery collection from the 80s, Pia has always been drawn to the timeless essence of vintage jewellery.

“I am a true believer of investing in timeless, classic, and good quality pieces because you’ll never get sick of it and they can be passed down to generations without losing its flair and allure.”

Why was collaborating with Odd Muse so special to you?

As two classic core worlds collide, the admiration between Aimee and Pia makes this collaboration even more special. “It’s a huge honour to collaborate with the brand as I'm a huge fan and so in awe of what Aimee has established. The dresses are so chic and timeless, which perfectly aligns with what we are trying to promote at Heaven Mayhem; which is statement vintage-inspired earrings for the modern capsule wardrobe. Both brands are such ‘new classics’ that it just made sense to collab!” explains Pia.

What does your role look like day to day?

Being a CEO and Founder is ‘not as glamorous as people think’ says Pia, but everyday is different and that’s what Pia loves most about her job. Most days consist of sitting in her office, replying to emails, on back to back calls discussing all things marketing, operations and wholesale. On other days Pia spends travelling, shooting campaigns, hosting events and meeting with editors and supporters of the brand.

“I think that is my favourite part of the job, is that I am constantly doing something different and fronted with a new challenge everyday. It’s never a bore!”

How do you believe you became Hailey Bieber’s go-to for statement earrings?

What Pia describes as a ‘by chance’ opportunity, she ran into Hailey Beiber’s good friend Justine Skye at Community Goods (a coffee shop in LA), “Long story short, I went up to Justine to thank her for supporting the brand (as she had purchased), but they both thought I was talking to Hailey and not Justine. Hailey then requested pieces via her stylist the next day! I think the brand truly resonates with her because it fits her style so much.”

How do you style the specially curated navy earrings for Odd Muse Resort?

Denim and a classic white tee is Pia’s go-to everyday uniform and these earrings are the perfect elevation for that look.

“I love these earrings as they can go with the most casual every day look or a major wow dress, like the odd muse pieces! I am actually dying to get my hands on the new odd muse pieces to be able to wear that signature look with the earrings!”
